Privacy
Parent Pace is a Garmin Connect IQ data field. By default it sends nothing anywhere. Your pace, weights and settings stay on the watch and in your own Garmin Connect account, where Garmin's own privacy policy applies.
If you turn on "Share anonymous data"
At the end of each run the field sends one short summary to a server run by the developer. It contains:
- a random anonymous ID made on your watch
- the watch model and the app version
- the date of the run and whether a stroller profile was used
- the runner, stroller and child weights you entered
- the run's duration and distance
- how fast you ran, how hard your heart worked and what the adjusted pace was, grouped into seven hill-steepness bands
It never contains your name, email, Garmin account, GPS position, route, or the time of day.
Why
To improve the stroller-pace formula for everyone. Summaries from many runners are what let us measure how much a stroller slows you on hills.
Your control
The setting is off until you turn it on. Turn it off to stop sending. Use "Reset anonymous ID" to delete everything previously sent under your ID: the watch asks the server to delete it and then makes a new ID.
Where it goes
A Supabase database in the United States (N. Virginia), readable only by the developer. Nothing is sold or shared.
